Free Spring green community screening of Closure
October 29th, 7 PM, The Gard Theatre, Spring Green, WI
Sponsored by Economic Equity Now! Spring Green residents are cordially invited to a FREE public screening of the WI-based documentary Closure. "Massive budget cuts, mergers, political attacks, and declining enrollments have devastated Wisconsin's university system. At the center of the crisis are two-year community colleges that serve the Wisconsin Idea by providing higher education access everywhere in the state. Under tremendous stress, these campuses are being shut down at a time when rural communities need them most. Join director Ken Brosky as he investigates the impact of these campus closures and tries to find a way to stop the closures before it's too late.

order your Economic equity now! Yard signs
Folks — EEN! yard signs are now available!
We've got three different designs—
𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡: Emphasizes that UW-Richland didn't need to close, that our downtowns don't need to be vacant and that our small family farms should be thriving instead of being sold off. Those things didn't need to happen and the sign emphasizes the link between the lack of a fair tax code and our crumbling communities.
𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗧: Emphasizes that we lost UW-Richland, thriving downtowns and small family farms because of inequities in the tax code.
𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗘: Emphasizes that we will lose more if a fair tax code isn't enacted. They took UW-Richland from us, they've taken small family farms and businesses from us, and they're likely coming for UW-Baraboo Sauk County next.
All signs include a call to action to be a vote and to advocate for taxing the ultra rich in order to tip the scales back in favor of community needs being met.
Versions of these yard signs will start appearing as billboards around Richland County in September and October.
Only a limited amount available! 18" H x 24" W, double sided, with 30" stand.
